Topping Up Your TR Mobile Phone from UK

Well I have tried with Avea. Got registered eventually (after getting my mate to message me with the password for Turkey). However topping up on line seems a no no unless you go to Garanti Bank and set up something.

I emailed Avea to ask if there was a way to do it from the UK and got this reply (my surname is Groom ):

Bybell - Thanks for the tip - but can you help with the form which is in Turkish?
Is the top box for the telephone number, and what are the two side by side boxes above the credit card number?

Hi David.  There's nowhere else that asks for your name so I put my first and last in them (as on credit card).  It worked.

Sorry, I should have said yes about the top box for the phone number.  Remember to omit the first zero.

When you get to the final window, could you copy the message, please.  Perhaps one of our Turkish members would be kind enough to translate it (in my excitement, I exited too quickly!).

I used the system this morning to put 100 units on our Turkish mobile, and I have a receipt from the credit card company to show that Turkcell have taken the 16.5 YTL.
My son is in Turkey, with our Turkish mobile and I texted him to see if the units have been credited.  He did have a text in Turkish, just moments before he got the text from me, but the units have not yet appeared in the balance - so I don't know what's going on.
I could not copy and paste the Turkish message as it disappeared just as I was about to highlight it for copying.
If the credits appear in the balance my son will text me to let me know - I will then let you all know.
I am wondering if you perhaps have to claim them in a similar way to claiming the bonus units that you get from the normal top-ups, but really, I would expect the balance to be increased in the same way as when you add units from a scratch card top-up.

I tried to do the same thing last night.  My daughters using an Avea phone.  Tried to register, they sent my daughter the following text:
Sifreler Gizlidir, Luften kimseylw
paylasmayiniz.Interakif Isemler Sirfreniz:095561

So......what does this mean.  I've tried to log on using the phone number as required and using the numbers as the password.  Can ayone help?

I registered with Avea but have yet to find out how to top up on line. I'm not actually sure you can. I'll keep trying though.

The text you get from them should be a series of numbers and this is your password which you should then enter in the space. You will then be registered. Be quick though as the password only lasts so long and then you need a new one.
