With the sad closure of the magnificent Anatolia Chargrill in Glasgow we ended up booking Alla Turka - last time we were there must have been around 2006 - we were on a visit FROM Turkey then. I recall it being pleasant, friendly but while the food was good it was no match for the "real thing" in Turkey (obviously).
Well how things have changed. I was worried it wouldn't live up to the standards set by the Anatolia but no need. An amazing Meze selection tray for 2 to start - amazing. Nearly everyone went for the Mixed grill for main and the Adana Kebap was equal to any I have had and a superb choice of dish.
Brilliant night as usual, and one of the weekends we really look forward to each December - our Glasgow break
