Title: What's happened in Bodrum??
Post by: SteveJ on November 19, 2018, 12:03:56 PM
I saw some photographs posted on another forum which shows some flooded streets and overturned cars in Bodrum. I was surprised that no-one had posted about it. Any news?

Just received this from a Koca Calis resident.

"During the recent rain over the last few days the canal became quite high, especially near Sağlik Sitesi. i looked today and one of the canal channels to the sea at Karataş has been completely filled in with thousands of tons of earth.

i want a meeting with DSi to establish if they have done this or authorised it and why? This is a section of the canal that DSi recently dredged so why has it been filled in? i will ask but we need others to also be asking DSi why this has happened.

in my opinion we are now at more danger of flooding from the canal than before it was dredged. May i suggest that residents insist that their sitesi managers contact DSi urgently to find out what is going on?"
