The Daily Mail article is an old one dated 2003, if you check out the incidents it refers to at each of the locations named they occurred in that year.

The Daily Mail never has anything good to say about Turkey anyway.

2003 wasn't a good year in the 'Bul.  HSBC bank, British Consulate, synagogues, branches of McDonalds all targeted.  Dozens killed and hundreds injured and maimed.

But you just got on with things, apart from the Americans.  They moved the consulate out to an armoured concrete blockhouse miles from the other consulates, way out in Yenikoy.  The British rebuilt the consulate and it is business as usual.

For Gods sake, get a grip and stop worrying if the one in a billion chance will involve you. Are you more at risk in London, New York, Paris or Calis? I've no idea but I'm not loosing sleep.

I figure I'm at more risk of being hit by a car/bus as I cross the road (especially now I live here  ) so if my number is up, I'd rather go while I'm leaping off a mountain/lounging on the beach/visiting a new city or generally doing something I really enjoy.
