I think RTE must have been given a copy of Thatcher's biography as a bayram present.

The events of the past few weeks (sort of) mirror the run up to the UK invasion of the Falkland islands, with a good few political commentators suggesting that the military action is a pretext to allow for a snap election to be called for - in the hope that the AKP will get a majority off the back of them being seen to be "protecting" Turkey.

He's playing a dangerous game and risking a return to the situation Turkey was in during the eighties, when the PKK carried out bombings etc all over Turkey.  You factor in the various nut jobs who, under the banner of IS, suddenly see the hand that fed them now giving them a punch in the mouth - who knows what they will do.

You can just imagine the nightmare scenario, two suicide bombers (one each from PKK and IS) having a square go outside a Polis station over who gets to vapourise themselves.

Hopefully, NATO may come up with a better solution then the current course the Turkish government is pursuing.

Has Tayyip's son Bilal stopped channeling funds to IS via the Islamic charity IHH now that his dad is supposedly bombing IS? I wonder.

Is there any truth in the rumour that 1 of RTE's daughters is working in a hospital set-up specially to treat IS fighters ?

A discontented nurse working clandestinely for a covert medical corps in Şanlıurfa—a city in south-eastern Turkey, close to the border with neighboring Syria— divulges information about the alleged role which Sümeyye Erdoğan plays in providing extended medical care for ISIS wounded militants transferred to Turkish hospitals.

According to one of the Turkish newpapers, Hurriet I think, the US has recovered a lot of data, including USB's

from an ISIL base in Syria that they bombed. This data links top ISIL officials with top AKP figures.!!

 Interesting times ahead.??

Bombproof USB drives, what a good idea.
