BBC now saying 20 dead and perhaps 50 injured. The central square in Ankara is closed and the peace march in support of Kurdish people has been cancelled. Turkish Government said to be investigating claim that the marchers' bus was attacked by suicide bomber.

If this was a peace march for the Kurds on the border as it said on Sky News, why would the Kurds plant a bomb?   The first suggestion was it was the PPK then I heard it may have been ISIS.  Wonder what Reg thinks?

I said it on the currency thread weeks ago - violence like this will escalate on the run up to the election date.  Only one winner and god knows how many poor folks will suffer as a result.

Number of dead is now up to 40...
It may be coincidence but Facebook has been unavailable in Turkey for the last hour...

ITV News now saying death toll is 186. I realize that one murder is just as sad as a hundred if you know the person involved but this is now looking like a massive incident.
