Title: Job done
Post by: Highlander on April 12, 2015, 11:12:29 AM
I am aware of the Welcome to Race for Life Turkey thread.

But I have started this separate thread to recognize the truly amazing success of the first ever event in Turkey.

I can only imagine the huge amount of time and sheer hard graft that has gone into making this happen.

And I have been aware of the trials, tribulations and serious setbacks that would have made lesser people throw the towel in.

So George (rimms) stand up sir and take a bow on you and your team’s behalf.

Well done each and everyone.

You HAVE made a difference  :)

it was a superb event very well organised by George and the team, everything went like to clockwork even the weather. the highlight of the day was Christine Rimmer pushing herself over the finish line in a wheelchair, determined to complete the course' even after a bad injury a few days ago.
Thanks to the organisers, for a lovely day.

Thank you all, we are bushed but happy that it went as well as it did. John, I was good to my word and asked the crowd to remember Rachel as part of their minutes silence. It was indeed a very moving moment and during the silence came a small gust of wind and I swore I heard her whisper "thank you"

Thank you so much George and what a lovely thought. Would have been so typical of my daughter (lump in the throat time again).

I'd love to see these, isn't there a way of putting them on FB in an open capacity so everyone can see them? I think Nichola does this somehow.  :D
