Brian - great shot - to be that good and get no red spots like I do when I try that sort of shot you must have one of those really expensive cameras that cost about £1500 and it does everything for you :D

See you in September.

Knock a zero off the end and you would be closer! Straight off the camera not doctored.  Forgot to add it was taken from the Sundial Otel :)

Ian,

Expensive cars don't make you a better driver, nor do expensive cameras make a you a better photographer.

( Trust me, I'm an ex-professional racer, and photographer )

Brian - if that is a £150 camera then I want you to give me a lesson on my Vivitar 5 million pixels - that I got on e-bay for £40 - rrp £90 and if you can take one that is 90% that good I will believe everything KKOB says and buy you and Ann a drink! :D

One of the tricks with photography is to take as many shots as possible. That way you're bound to get a near perfect one. Now that we have digital instead of film, it costs nothing to take, say, 100 shots of the same subject and delete 99 of them.

Most paparazzi are not particularly good photographers. They're speciality is getting close to a target and firing off a couple of hundred exposures in the hope that they get the "seller".

For a "perfect" sunset shot, wait until the colour of the sky begins to change and take a shot every 10 seconds.

Once you've downloaded the pictures to your PC, try running a slideshow, and it'll help you pick the "perfect" shot.

Here endeth the lesson.
