October

Got back last Satyrday from our first trip to Calis, have raved about it so much to our friends that we are all thinking of coming over for a week in October.

Can anyone tell me what the weather is usually like in October and if everything is still open. Can you still do the boat trips etc.

We'd also be looking to rent 2 2-bed apartments in the same complex or a 4-bed villa that would comfortably sleep 8 - can anyone point me in the right direction.

Then it will just be a case of keeping my husband out of the estate agents when we get there.

thanks in advance for any help.

Margaret

Last October we had quite alot of rain.A thunder storm that lasted for 36hrs. Certain places tend to close down before the end of season.Boat trips go depending on the weather. Sorry cannot help with the accommodation.

We've been over in October a few times.  The weather is usually still warm enough for t-shirts and shorts although you do need a cardi or a light jacket for the cooler nights.
There are still a good range of places oepn.  More and more restaurants and bars are open all year.
Look here for rentals

Good luck

Hi Margaret
I too am just back and have booked flights for Oct. Its 5th Aug and absolutley bucketing down here so anything better than this Scottish dampness is a bonus! I hope to be moving into my new home while I'm out - the lure of the region was too tempting :0)
Good luck with looking for accomodation

October - Take a fleece, a rainjacket, wellingtons, flip flops, T-shirt and sun cream. Its a lovely time of year to go you just don't know what you are going to get.
