Can anyone tell me the date of the Kaya Festival and also what it involves. Is it a cultural event or just an excuse for a good booze up?
I'm sure KayaKoy old boy will be able to answer this one for me.[?]

It's neither.

It's probably the biggest non-event in the Kaya Koyu calendar.

Just another excuse for a load of old Turkish men to sit at the Kayabasi, play Okey or Backgammon and drink tea.
