Earthquake!
« on: October 03, 2019, 06:06:09 AM »
Well, the earth certainly moved for us this morning!  :o
Quite a big one, just off Rhodes apparently. Felt everything shaking though it was over before we realised what was happening!

Yes we felt it too although at the time hadn’t realised it was an earthquake! This morning the question we both asked was ‘what the hell were you dreaming about and shaking the bed for early this morning’😂.

Apparently there have been 141 earthquakes M>=2.2 in Turkey in the last 7 days! Amazing! (and a bit scary, TBH)
...but I guess all this activity helps release the pressure and prevents the BIG one.

The public debate after a 5.8 magnitude earthquake struck Istanbul last week gave us a glimpse of how different sections of Turkish society respond to significant natural events. Unlike secularists’ devotion to positivism, Islamic groups have proposed once again that such natural events should be interpreted as acts of God.
