just been watching a bit of Nostalgia, did Queen and freddie mercury take live aid 1985 by storm or what, just do you tube type search and Queen live aid, brilliant. :)
-
It's available as part of a Live Aid DVD Box Set too Des - along with many other performances on that day. You are quite correct, Queen stole the biggest pop show on Earth by miles.
-
Not on offer anywhere right now so £33 at Amazon (4 DVD)

Even non - Queen fans were blown away by that performance. Next best IMHO, were, then relatively new kids on the block U2.
-
Agreed - although Queen managed to get 5 songs in while U2 preferred to let their 2nd one go one for about a week ;)
-
Glad so many people agree. :)

Oh the memories! I was lucky enough to be at Live Aid. Nothing's beat it since.

Outstanding performance by Queen and "Top" showman Freddy :)
-
Absolutely THE BEST act of the whole show.Ah the memories.Nothing has ever come close since in my opinion.
-
Toky, I'm so jealous! ;)
But agree with all the above, that was one the best performances ever, by anyone! There was no-one to rival Freddie on his day.
-
You all might be so right ....... if the Live Aid line up had not included The Who ;)
-
I am sure that this single 15/20 minute performance explains why their Greatest Hits is the best selling album ever.
I remember the day well, I was working in a children's home and two of our younger children had gone missing, they were playing dare, according to one of them, on the Mile End Road! It didn't end well so one of them with me by his bedside spent plenty of time at the local hospital watching the concert. He made a full recovery.

Freddie was probably the finest "showman" ever ! :D- Never seen anyone capture an audience like him ! :D
