Hi just want to introduce myself. I am married and my husband and I have been coming to turkey for about 9yrs. We have an apartment in overcik and this year we are "testing the water" to retire here. We are hoping to sell our apart this year and buy a villa which will enable our family to visit all together. Looking forward to our time here.

Hello and Welcome,  There was a lady on this Forum who moved over to Turkey and bought a place in Ovacik.  She moved back after a very cold Winter up there.
If you buy in Ovacik, make sure that your accommodation is suitable for all year living as some of the accommodation is only for Summer residence and it can be very cold up in the mountains in Winter.

Thanks jacqui I really don't think our apartment is suitable for winter. We will either go home for the colder months or if I'm really optimistic we would have sold the apartment and found somewhere in Fethyie which will be warmer.
