Three hour delay on our way out in June but partly due to industrial action by those bar stewards from Unite     ;)

Response by air crew not the best especially by the chief stewardess.

we were pushed off 15 mins early on  our EASY JET flight  at Gatwick in june then held up by air traffic  by the massive storm over france when ALL planes were stopped from there  air space,  excellent crew/ captain  handed out water/ snacks free ,  and kept asking if everyone was ok , Took off 2 hrs late only took 3 hrs 35 mins excellent flight, lots of legroom very clean  compared with our BA flight home

Came back with BRITISH AIRWAYS  took off 10 mins early landed at Gatwick 25 mins early excellent flight with a woman pilot who needed to get home to feed her kids  :-* but a bit tight for legroom  quite  drab looking seats/ carpet

Yes.  I know I'm covered by insurance/ABTA/credit card but having previously lost more than 20 flights with Aegean flights for our wedding, I would never risk booking with a financially insecure company again.  We lost our flights and sadly Carole and Tayfun weddings refused to give us our wedding deposit back - despite being over 12 months before the wedding date.

I just wouldn't risk it.  I booked with Monarch and also lost that holiday - but luckily it was the whole holiday that we lost rather than just flights so it wasn't quite as painful.  It was easy enough to book an alternative holiday.

Once had an eleven hour delay on a flight to Alicante with Thomas Cook so try to avoid them. Used them the first time to Dalaman (Calis) when the return journey was delayed and the pilot turned on the entertainment system free of charge as a sweetener. Since then have used Monarch twice and when they went bump switched to Easyjet for the last year and this years visits. No problems with either of those.

We only use TC for last minute flights due mainly to the financial position but being fair we have never been delayed and they do have some bargains

To be honest I think it happens to all airlines, as I’m sitting here in Luton airport with currently a 1 1/2 hr delay with easyJet.....never mind

Not about delay's but about Thomas Crook. A friend of mine has just returned from Palma in Majorca where he had booked an all inclusive holiday with Thomas Crook for himself, his wife, his daughter and his daughter's boyfriend. His wife  had a panic attack the night before they were due to fly and decided not to go.The the other three went and had a decent holiday. On arrival at the airport to come home my friend was told his luggage was two kilos over and he would have to pay.He explained what had happened and that he had paid for four people and their luggage and he felt he should not have to pay as their were only three of them and he had paid for a luggage allowance for his wife. He had all the paperwork and receipts but they would not give in.Surely a bit of common sense should have been applied. That's another four customers they have lost.
