What a wonderful day
« on: April 01, 2014, 14:40:18 PM »
I have just returned from visiting  the young lad we are helping and I cannot even begin to describe my feelings. He had the Plaster of Paris removed one week ago and has two extremely long scars on both legs . He was sitting upright on the floor when I arrived and they told me it is the first time he has ever been able to do that so he was grinning from ear to ear. He is a wonderful child (15) and his ambition is to play football ....... The hospital are very happy with the results of the operation and are confident that with constant physiotherapy as soon as possible  he will be able to walk . His nature and determination are a force to be reckoned with and he desperately wants a three wheeled bicycle so think that may be next on our list once we see how he progresses with the physiotherapy.  After seeing him I cannot keep the smile off my face now. Thank you to all of you who made this possible by helping us in any way to raise funds. I hope to visit Guzde later in the week to check on her progress.

As usual the reports from the charities we get on CBF demonstrate how worthwhile the efforts of the fundraisers are. Well done to you all and to the supporters of these wonderful causes.
