Five star hotel
« on: April 23, 2014, 09:13:50 AM »
Any news in this? Sensatori are building one in 'Fethiye' but I hear it's been delayed until 2015. Could it yet be the land opposite the Surf Cafe?

Has anything progressed down that end?

Don't know name of area, but along from Carretta beach restaurant, behind where the Turks picnic on the beach, there is an absolutely massive area being raised above what would have been ground level, I hear this is going to be a big hotel. in front of the co-operative houses. If you know where I mean??

Sensatori is simply a Thomson brand, the actual hotel is being built (and will be operated) by Barut Hotels, a Turkish company.  The only "Five Stars" that'll relate to this hotel when it opens are the ones you'll see if you bang your head on the table in frustration at the poor food and beverages.  Turkish operators just don't do five star AI!

Out of curiousity I had a quick look on TH web site, nothing showing for it this year so I suspect you're right and it has been delayed.  There aren't that many places left for a build of this size so Koca Calis sounds about right.

That's either the Kargi turn off or the Yaniklar turn off. I think the latter if those are the houses built about 8 years ago.

Not exactly Koca Calis - a bit further on - but close enough.

Turkish operators just don't do five star AI!

I might have agreed had I not been aware of the Turkish hotel chain Rixos which has a hotel in Sharm- Nabq bay which is amazing and definitely 5 star if not more!

Well I do hope the locals living in the estate next to it get some benefit from having a huge resort bang on their doorstep ...... I'd be well hacked off.

Ok, I'll qualify that... " Turkish operators (in Turkey) just don't do five star AI!"
