Buying a resale property
« on: August 21, 2015, 06:18:13 AM »
A hint for buying a resale property. If you find your dream home before you put a deposıt down get the thıngs you can't see checked before you buy.  Water tanks and solar and roof. Pay someone to go up and check them out for you. Could be a big expense if you dont. Turn the air con on and check the heatıng if it has central heating Also get a moving ın/out date put in the contract.

No different to buying any property anywhere in the world, unless its brand new as then you get some form of warranty. Or buy in the winter month's then you can see if the roof leaks,or the heating works.   ;)

All very good advice apart from the check out the heating...we have log burner that has to get up to a certain temperature to fire the radiators and in this heat I'm afraid it's a no go from me....lol.. 8)  ;)

Only problem is a warranty in Turkey doesn't mean much, if anything

Also it may not be obvious when viewing in summer that basements often flood in the winter...

Quackers, are you speaking from bitter experience here, or is this your normal wise counsel? Hope your new villa is living up to your dreams!

From experience Arty. Yes we love our bungalow after teethıng problems that the previous owners did not disclose and denied. Also ıf buying a resale fully furnıshed make sure you have a lıst attached to your purchase contract statıng what ıs actually beıng left, not' I may leave that or I may not'.

Have you found any difference in the weather where you are, as opposed to Koca Calis?
