Thank you for your post it seems there is a way...  Great encouragement..

Ovacik 2,  we did exactly the same as you......up until the visa rules changed to 90 in 180 days. Now we only stay 44 days between May and June and then 45 days September/October.  No way round it unless you can get the 6 months residency which we haven't looked into

So there is a way for us Half timers. Hope its helpful to you too... Good luck...

Hello,
90 days rule has an exception in new Residence Law. When you come to Turkish borders to enter and have the 90 day problem. You need to fill in a form declaring that you will apply for residency in 10 days. They will let you enter and you need to prepare the file and go to Residence office in 10 days. You can apply for residency between 1 month to one year.
As you know before you needed to go back and stay outside Turkiye for 90 days. Now you dont need :-)
Residency office Fethiye Branch will be serving to you before new year. You will not need to go to Muğla.

I ask one question:- Do we still need to have an evisa or only fill in the form on arrival declaring our intention to aplly for residency permit.

A very sincere "Thank you"

Alan and Pauline

You are welcome.

Hello Karennina,

Sorry to inform you that you need health insurance to apply for residency permit ( even for one month)

You could get two passports and two 90/180 visas then you would be able to be there 180/180 days. Or 178/180 to allow you to leave and return. And just do that forever. Or maybe not. I haven't given this much thought but can't see why not  :)

Hello Scunner,
What a good idea.
It's possible to be done  exactly as you explained 20 years ago.
Now European police has a lost passport and ID network system.
No body can have more than one passports.
If you lost your passport and get a new one, Old one will alarm on the EU and Turkish borders as LOST PASSPORT.
We must work harder to solve 90/180 problem :-)

So Scunner can stay in Turkey for 360 days in a row! Unfortunately he would be staying in one of its prisons.
