Sail makers ?
« on: May 08, 2016, 07:34:56 AM »
I am thinking of building a steel pergola and using steel cable (like they use on boats and as a guard on handrails etc ) as the sliders to hang roof blinds held on with rings.

The idea being to pull closed if shade  is needed or pull back if warmth is needed !

Sunbed type fabric may be too flimsy so I want to talk to a boaty sailmaker type guy (may be too expensive though !)

Does anybody have any contacts in these type of ship chandler places ?

Friends who have a yacht use Captain Eddy as their first go to for most things. His no is 0252 614 25 26. I think his place is in the road that goes passed the old passport police office towards the Ece Saray Hotel

Alan and Gillian Turner ( they use the Turkish names Arda and Zeynep Celik ) own the European Diving Centre in Fethiye. They have some very good contacts for this kind of thing. Both of them speak excellent Turkish and most of their crewmembers speak good English too.

Phone them on 0252 6149771 or contact them through their website http://www.europeandivingcentre.com/contact-us/
