« on: July 25, 2020, 21:57:02 PM »
Does Alexa work in Turkey?
Do you need a card to ride on the dolmus? Do you need a photo if you do. How much are they and where do you get them from?
A quick ball park price list for
Council tax
Electric
Big bottles water for cooler
Many thanks

My Alexa says 'Turkey should be roasted at 230c for 30 minutes then the oven should be turned down to 160c for approximately 2 hours....'

No Alexas not allowed to work in Turkey without a works Permit,😛😛
Yes you need a dolmus card, most places sell them, some bus drivers have them to sell,
No photo, I think the card about 5tl. Then you put money on it.
Large water about 20/25 to.

Alexa works fine (listening to Radio 2 now)
Cards can be purchased from the driver.
Electric/council tax hard to give an estimate depends on your useage and the size of your property
Havnt bought water for a few years but would guess around 25 tl.....

Not sure about Alexas but I'm certain there are plenty of Natashas working around the Harbour and Paspatur.

Can vouch for both Alexa and Google working in Turkey. Have both in Apartment, although one will be coming back with us this time.

Obviously you do need Tinterweb, but y'all know that  ;)

Yes you need a card for the dolmus, not all drivers do have them. Some will let you patty cash and use their own card to register it but others won't. Ava I left to buy in different places, depends where you are. The small market on Baris Manco, going from the dolphinless roundabout, literally few doors down on the left towards Gunlukbasi, sold them. As does the Beleditpye place behind the PTT in Fethiye I believe. Alex bufe in Fethiye near to Migros on the Calis road sell them. Other places in Tasyaka, Ovacik etc but I don't know exactly where as don't live in those places! There is a machine near to where the Gunlikbasi buses start in Fethiye, close to Mosque, where you can top up card. All places you buy cards from should also be able to add credit.
Electric, totally dependent on your usage! If you use aircon for cooling or heating, more expensive than if you don't have! Also if you use an immersion fitted to your tank, for hot water in the winter, this will bump the cost up. Saying that, I didn't use mine much last winter, and yes, I do shower!
Council type tax should be payable by the landlord I believe.

Sorry, spell check, should say, pay not  patty and able to buy in different places. It is Alem bufe in Fethiye near Migros, not Alex!
