Site/complex fees
« on: May 10, 2022, 12:57:41 PM »
I'm interested to hear about other owners experience with site fees at present and if they are rising and by how much, if thats not too personal.
Due to this reason in rising cost our complex management have took upon themselves to decide not to open the swimming pool untill ( maybe 1st wk june!!) rules state 15th May and has been  that way for over 18yrs to my knowledge. without giving any prior notice I have only found  out by chance.
I am absolutely fuming as we and other UK resident/ neighbours are booked to come out for the whitsun school holidays. I have been expecting fees to rise and dont have a problem with it to provide the services we brought the property for.
We are in credit of our fees along with many owners while there are other residents owe hundreds in TL.
For the majority of owners this is classed as a summer house/ second home with very few residents living there permanently.

Is it unreasonable to expect our facility to be open?

I can't be on same site as you guys as our pool is open...pool chemical price has increased hugely so what we did is paid our normal fees & an extra worked out about £45 per house for the increase of pool chemicals which we were happy to pay as our site fees are very good anyway...good luck in getting sorted out it's never easy being on a shared site!

Spo666, yes please do get intouch.
As far as we can make out owners haven't even been  consulted about the decision.

Karennina, that sounds fair to me and we had a similar thing a few years back when a new water tank was urgently needed and everyone split the cost, we weren't consulted then just  told it was happening and how much we owed.

1.Site fees have risen for both chemicals and maintenance in line with everything else, also if you have outside electric that’s the biggest rise.
2,As far as when the pool opens that is for the owners to determine ,so if I was you I’d just get them told

Regarding the chemical’s, the chemicals we use are of a high quality and we are now in the process of finding a cheaper make/suppler but cheaper is not always best   :)
