Can anyone please tell me where I can get a blood test for a under active thyroid and how much it costs. Lolo[?]

Try Esnaf they do blood tests for most things at about 8 to 9 lira.

A neighbour who lives here full time has some kind of thyroid problem and she uses Esnaf.

Thanks Smudge I did not think it would be that cheap. Had my leg put in plaster 4weeks ago and it cost 295tyl.Treatment was first class. It seems a very good hospital. I did not know you could walk in and ask them to do a blood test. lolo

Just rang esnaf (why did'nt I think of that before) and they told me it would be between 30-35lira depending on how many blood tests I need. Not as expensive as I thought it would be. lolo

Do you have residency, if yes then make sure you get listed on their computer then you will pay local rates rather than insurance rates which are very expensive.
Our friend needs a blood test every month for a heart condition, the results are sent to UK pacemaker clinic all for 9 lira.
Another friend has thyroid checks at Esnaf will find out what they pay.

yes I do have residency I went to esnef today and had one blood test
They said I had to have 3 tests done on it T3 T4 and TSH total cost 94 lira a lot more than what I was quoted. I am on the computer as I had to have my leg put in plaster about 4 weeks ago. They did not ask me if I had residency. Am I doing something wrong. lolo
