No, it makes no difference where the roof terrace comes from, whether it is old roof space with tiles removed or something larger.

There are loads, maybe that's why no-one seems to bother.

Well someone bothered on Violet.  Every one of the ten top owners was fined  with two of them being arrested, one on more than one occasion, at Dalaman.

Yes I know - perhaps I shall amend my post to "There are loads, maybe that's why no-one in the belediye/Zabita seems to bother until someone complains".

Jealous neighbours seem to account for the instigation of 99.9% of actions on open roof terraces, not the authorities who only seem to act when someone shoves it under their nose.

Terrie, what a shocking story, it must have been an awful experience!

Did you alter the brickwork then Terrie? From your post I guess you did.

Thanks SuzzPuss - yes it is a nice little house and we would be keeping the barriers as a sort of 'Juliet Balcony' I guess.

Sounds posh that does  ;)

Based on Terrie's story (Simon) mainly, the conclusion is that you should be ok to get on and do it, as long as you accept that if any one person gets done for doing it, it will be you.

According to a previous thread about King's Garden Scunner does a nice line in pretty frocks and high heels when he's on holiday.
