Anything happening in Ovacik?
« on: January 25, 2011, 06:17:52 AM »

Hi we noticed that there have been no postings here since December and in an effort to stimulate an interesting thread, have there been any going ons' in the Ovacik area? Thought I would post this thought provoking posting to give Karen and I a taste of what we have been missing over the dark cold winter months and any thing else that might be going on. We are out in a few weeks so just wanted to capture the ambiance before we arrive. We know Ovacik is quiet but something must  be going on, go on, join in with any comments you may have!

Kevin and Karen :)

Well, there's been a massive thunderstorm all night and it is absolutely peeing down at the moment, so don't suppose much is going on outside.:D

I expect most of Ovacik and Hisaronu has washed down into the valley ;)

As Barry says we're getting washed away at present. It's been stormy weather off and on for a few days now. So,not a lot going on.

Turtle bar is getting a renovation,Im told the new build next to Angels is going to be another Azda.Theres a new building going up in Hisaronu where the slate engravers used to be.Hundreds of saplings have been planted along both sides of the top road in Ovacik.

Thats about it for now.

Mirage bar has Bingo on Wednesday nights and a quiz on Sundays. There's a really good darts competition every other Monday dinner at the Morning Star, 5ytl entrance fee which goes to local charities. (I'm yesterdays champion:D)

Keep posting guys, I am loving it!

Hope our apartment has not been washed away.

As a matter of interest and excuse me for asking, Baz, you look very much like a chap who lives just down the road from us in a lovely detached house with his wife and two really super dogs, am I correct or well off the mark. Our place is turn left opposite Friar Tucks and up the hill for about 500 meters!
