Hello everyone,

Just got back from an amazing holiday in Oludeniz. So much so, that my sister and I are considering living out there for 2-4 months next Summer. We are half Turkish so we would like to learn more about the Turkish culture and language.

We are considering going out in June. But could someone say which months are best - June, July, August or July, August, September - we are in our twenties and enjoy socialising but we are not party animals!!

Does anyone know of any cheap villas we can rent either in Oludeniz or Fethiye? Looking for a cheap rental.

I know working will be a problem as we do not have a working visa, but does anyone have any experience of working there for the summer period? How hard/easy is it to find work?

When will flights come out?

Anymore information will be much appreciated.

Thank you so so much!!!

Welcome to CBF, Easy jet flights are out now, June through to September are very hot, but lovely none the less, I'm sorry I don't know enough about work permits to give any information on those.

Do you have a Turkish passport or dual nationality? That might help with the quest for work. If not I would be very careful as working without a permit will get you deported if you are caught.

As mentioned above if you hold dual nationality (which most half turkish children do) then you will be able to work here without a problem.  You do not need a Turkish passport for this, just a kimlik card.
For cheap long term rentals, you can check out the relevant page on this site or try good old facebook, they have a fethiye buy, sell rent property section.

Hi all,

Thank you for all your replies.
Do you know of a particular Facebook page I can look on to find rentals for villas/accomadation?
Is this the cheapest solution for two people for 3-4 months?

Yes, I know a little Turkey but sadly my baba never taught me properly. :(

Thanks,

You could try putting a request on here, but beware of a chap called Brian James or your experience of the summer could get off to a very bad start.
