The fair today was a great success as far as the Uzumlu Ladies Group are concerned. Thank you to everyone who visited our table and bought our cakes, jams, etc. There was a steady stream of customers all day and I believe this event will get better as more people get to know about it. We raised the princely sum of 61 TL for charity, which is good for our first fund raising attempt.

Our next meeting is on Wednesday at the Cadianda at 2.00 p.m. so, ladies, come and join us.

What a lovely set up this was, tables looked really nice and
the food was great (took home lunch Ha Ha )

Uzumlu food & crafts fairs will be taking place on the last Friday of every month organize by the Turkish ladies of the village and the Winehouse,

2nd food & crafts fair this Friday the 25th march at 11am till 4 pm
You will be able to see lots of traditional Turkish cooking and craft made in the village by the Turkish ladies, come along and view the handmade crafts and the homemade food dishes,
on sale will be a variety of Turkish breads, desserts, cakes, pastry's, jars of local jams, marmalades, oils vinegars etc.., this local produce will be on sale,

Prices starting from 1lira, 2 lira for cakes pastry's etc :

Why not pop in after you done your market shopping :and enjoy a free cup of tea or coffee supplied by the Winehouse.

This is what will be on sale from the Uzumlu Ladies Group:
Bread Pudding, Savoury Pasties, Fruit Cake, Smoked Trout Pate, Fruit and Cheese Scones, Shortbread, Lemon Drizzle Cake, Books & DVD's, cards and postcards. All proceeds to charity.........

Gorgeous food and crafts on offer today.
Thank you lovely ladies of Uzumlu, another beautiful array of goodies.
So glad I went, lovely atmosphere, people and of course event was hosted so well by Ian, Sener and crew.
Looking forward to the next one already!
