When i was working in the charity shop, a lady refused to take any of the new coins, which didnt have Attaturk on them.  I have since heard many Turks will not accept them.

Soon they will be the only ones in circulation.

They are memory coins with something symbolic on them. Ataturk coins will still be in use apparently.
