Residency renewal in different province

Me and my partner's residency visas are due for renewal in September.  We still own a property in the Aydin Province which is where our last visas were issued.  We are now living in Calis, and don't want to have to travel back to Didim or Aydin to renew our visas.  Does anyone know if we will be able to renew in Fethiye, but still keep our Didim address on the documents ?

Where are you actually living? Remember that any change of address has to be legally notified to the Emniyet within 48 hours although this is rarely monitored. You will need to do everything via Mugla province (meaning yes Fethiye) but remember the beauty of Turkey is they cant have the same rules in different provinces.

You also need to regıster with the Muhtar ın the area you now lıve.

Has anyone done this in Fethiye in 2012? (changed address in your blue book)

Did you go to the Passport Police where you get your original residency and what did you need?

changed my address twice now.A bit of a palavar but not too difficult.First you need to take proof of your new address to the local Muhtar for him to give you the official stamp on the relevant form.Then its off to the passport police for the relevant forms.I then used the shop opposite the passport police to fill out the forms for me (10tl) then got the obligatory new passport photos taken.Next into Fethiye to get all the relevant paper work signed and stamped before returning to the passport police to hand all the relevant forms and blue book over.Got my blue book back in 10 days with new address added.

Thank you - excellent information - we will give it a go - particularly as I only just found out my local muhtar has been my barber for 6 months - a good start point 

Ps Next to Fethiye - did you mean just the office opposite the belediye?

The goverment offices just along from the Migros (used to be Carrefore) in Fethiye.You have to go into the down stairs offices first then up the stairs to get another stamp from a government official.
