I would have thought Diana that the visa you purchased in July for your daughter the details should show still in her renewed passport, I asked my question on a face book page and some people have said you can not have two visas running at the same time do you have the paper copy of the July visa to show at the airport just in case you encounter problems, technically the July visa should not expire until January 2015!

There is nothing stopping you having a 2nd visa. I bought one for my son and put the other sons middle name in so just bought a 2nd visa. Never had any problems in Dalaman.

Yes I have the paper copy , do you think when they scan the new passport some how there will be a record of the old passport and the visa

Tell her to take her old passport to show if she has any problems.  There is no need to buy another Visa.

Thought of that but old one not returned from passport office

That's a pity, they used to return them.  Do you happen to have a photocopy of the old one or a note of the number?

Off topic but a bit of useful advice which I hope nobody will need to use, one year in Spain, the couple who were in the next villa were broken into. The robbers had pulled the grilles off the window, jemmied the safe off the wall and took the safe with the entire contents.  They spent the folowing day at the Police Station, running around getting replacement tickets and emergency travel documents.  Ever since then we carry photocopies of our Passports and travel tickets.
