My visa days occording to Dalaman computer

Can anyone shed some light on this for me please:
On departing from Dalaman Tuesday night a lot of the staff were in good spirits which made such a nice change, even had a guy on second security check crack a joke with me!
Anyway as i feeling encouraged by this when i was at passport control I asked the guy can you tell me how many days I have left please, anyway he turned the screen round for me to see once he done whatever and it said 46 so I said 46 to take and he said yes...
Try as I might from doing the 180 day counting back I can not make this figure tally up I make it 41 left to take..
Is there anyone who knows how this could be as surely the system must be correct?

Actually as I typed my previous post I had a lightbulb moment and wonder if the system maybe does not update straight away on departing, if this is so as I left on July 5 th perhaps it had not taken my July days off hence then it would make the 41 days left that I make it!
