Just had a post from an istanbul punk band who are playing Ankara tonight , didnt know it before but but Joe Strummer was born in Ankara, wasnt a clash fan back then as I was in the Damned camp but saw him twice in one day busking in Nottingham in 1985 in the market square, then later that night busking outside the garage club.
