Can I ask is it good idea to let agent do all the paperwork etc on my behalf when selling or should I do it some other way. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

It depends on what agent you're using and whether you're happy to give them Power of Attorney to act for you. We used Beyaz Homes for our sale and they did everything once I'd given them POA. I had to go to the Notar on the first day to arrange the POA and then all I had to do was meet the purchaser at Beyaz's office on Day 2 to collect the deposit, and then the balance of my money on Day 3.

Obviously the agent's going to take a commission for this work, but in my opinion it was well worth it.

Thanks for the advice. I assume I don't need to send them any docs till I get out to Fethiye. eg would they need copies of my passport/tapu before I get out? Do you need to be in Fethiye for any specific time to sell? I heard you had to be there for a couple of weeks before you can proceed?

Your agent will probably want a copy of your passport and the TAPU.

You only need to be in Fethiye for 14 days prior if you're going to go to the Deeds Office yourself. Another good reason to give POA.

The whole process can be done and dusted within 3 - 4 days.
