Something for nothing ?
« on: February 21, 2013, 09:12:55 AM »
We are subscribing to `view UK tv abroad ` out here in Turkey, which for £6.00  per month and 90% of the time is of watchable quality with all the major UK  channels and   good value... however these last two weeks , out of curiosity, I have been logging  on to `Film On` which is free and the watchable quality is about the same and often slightly better than `view uk tv abroad` :D  My question is... is there a catch ?? in this life I find you rarely get ` something for nothing `   ;)   is this free viewing of `Film On`  going to continue being free ?? or is there going to be a demand for a subscription at some later date ??  I  would very much like to know as I  am impressed with `Film On` at the moment

I think they will do one of two things...

1. Maintain the advertising as a income source to offer a free service

Or

2. Move to a completely subscription charged model

I wouldn't see them moving to 2 anytime soon though. But I have been wrong before....

I agree with steve, have been using filmon for a while now and apart from the odd glitch when the internet is poor it has been very good.
