Are we being ripped off by the big drugs companies in the UK when the price of drugs are so much cheaper in Turkey.

We also bought a knee support for 35tl which I would have thought would be much more expensive in the UK.

I don't think the public is being ripped off on drug prices in the UK but the NHS certainly is. With their buying power they should be negotiating much better prices from the manufacturers than they are getting. Incompetent management is the main problem in my opinion. Brand names are a rip off when the generic version of the drugs are available at much reduced prices.

Agreed LeeGlo,

But are Boots, Tesco and others also ripping us off. I will check but I think I paid £ 1.05 for paracetamol today.

All the "big" supermarkets sell their own brands of Paracetamol and you shouldn't be paying more than about 35p for a packet. The same goes for Ibuprofen.

Home Bargains are very good for headache tablets usually around 19p a packet.  They also sell lots of other medical products like knee and ankle supports very cheaply.
