Some questions If I may..
« on: February 17, 2020, 12:38:38 PM »
If you take a long term rental contract do you have to have residency? Can you do it on your 90 day visa? Would that impact on stuff like utilities? If you have to register with police? Do you need health insurance, or would your own insurance do (if it was over 30 days stay) how long can you leave Turkey for with residency?
Thanks for the help?

Are you thinking of getting Residency ? Otherwise I can't understand why you'd want a long-term contract on a 90 day visa.

Well, you can only stay in Turkey for 90 days in any 180 day period using a visa, so a Residence Permit is definitely what you need for a long-term rental. I don't know the current costs, but no doubt somebody will be along soon to fill us in.

If you try and do it on a visa Bernie don’t forget ul have to exit for think it’s 90 days once you’ve had x1 lot of 90 days,
I did my residency with Inspector I’m pretty sure it was less then £300 with everything including a x2 yr health care policy, the cost of a flight may be more then that if for example you have no choice but to exit Turkey once your 90 days are up...good luck with everything

I know..So much to think about..
Insure with £360 for existing conditions..wait for it..960 big fat English smackeroos on an existing condition of a claim PLUS..£75 ordinary claim money
Or JUST £75 a new condition..I'm thinking residency and health insurance is cheaper..if my plane goes down, what'll I care anyhow..

I blame Scunner, Cenk and Inspector anyway.
Scunner for telling me about calis
Cenk for selling the villa I wanted and fell in love with originally in koca calis
Inspector for telling me on various occasions over drinks that I'm heading to calis

it defo is a lot to think about
Could you not try & rent somewhere for just 3 months first of all and come on a tourist visa and see how you like living here again and get a 90 day travel insurance policy Asda do a 90 day policy.
There may be some members on here who only use their house in Turkey for few weeks a year that may rent to u short term?
Ha re all the blames lol!
