Secondly, can you purchase these gasa canisters in Turkey?  Have just ordered three of these torches and would love to bring one over but a little concerned about carrying the gas!  Is it available over in Turkey?

Hi Lynne
You can find the gas cylinders in Turkey. If you have problems go to a yacht chandlers near a Marina.
Do not, under any circumstances try and bring a caniste on the airaplane. At best you will be refused access to the plane, possibly arrested.
The canister can also blow up if its put in the hold .
