The people of Fethiye and Calis (locals and visitors) have done Stuart proud today. As he did them on so many occasions.

A wonderful man (with a good woman by his side) who will be very sadly missed.

PS m I the only one who has been hearing Rod Stweart songs in their heads all day today. :( :( :(

When we asked Stuart to perform at Soul Train 1 there was never a hesitation. Despite a comprehensive sound check before his performance where everything went fine, on the night we suffered really serious sound issues.

Myself and a number of people were absolutely distraught and to this day, even though out of my direct control, I feel that I let him down.

The following morning I went down to talk to speak to him and Linda about the problems we had undergone and to apologize, he simply said “George, that’s show business, things like this happen”

I’m so sorry that we were away from Calis on the day of the funeral, however we will visit and take up a glass of his favorite Captain Morgan Rum.

You are a great man, the world is a lesser place without you.
