Yes, Shane Fenton was pals with Rory Storm.  I remember Rory telling me that he introduced Shane to his sister Iris and Shane married her.  Iris had a part in a James Bond movie.  Rory was very proud of that when it was in the Liverpool Echo about her.
R.I.P. Shane.

Yes Rory and Shane never disclosed their real names and no internet then, but people who knew them knew their names, but Shane and Rory preferred to be know as their stage names.   Rory had a terrible stutter, but once he was up on the stage, even speaking with the microphone he never stuttered, but when he used to stand and speak to me, he always stuttered.  I knew him when I worked in a night club in Liverpool and he was the D.J. long after he had given up the group.

Lots of folks stutter when they're talking to royalty.  ;)

It is water off a duck's back to always take a cheap shot at me. I expect it now.   However, it is not funny to make a joke of people who do suffer (and I mean suffer) from a stutter.

People who stutter under pressure, myself included, don't need you to tell us whether or not we can make a joke of it or not thank you.
