The Allied Irish Bank has already received a £2.9 billion from the Irish Government and is expected to come back for more. In turn the EU and the UK have underwritten the Irish economy because of the financial crisis exascerbated by the Irish banks. Because of "contractual reasons" the Allied Irish Bank is now going to use this bail out money to pay £33 million in bonuses - averaging £14,000 per lucky recipient. This payout is of course entirely justified because ................ give me a moment I'm sure of think of the reason quite soon.

Colwyn, it's only money!! Not their money, mind you, so why should they care what happens to it?? Would other countries be so quick to help out the U.K. to such an extent??
