Title: Various bits and pieces
Post by: Steve B on February 17, 2005, 16:48:24 PM
So here we go...

I purchased the property on the last couple of days of my holiday last year and didn't have time to sort out arranging how to pay bills i.e Gas, Electric and other charges, perhaps there is a council tax?

I have a Turkish account with Guaranti bankasi, so can I sort these bills out via direct debit?

Does it cost much to transfer monies from English bank to Turkish bank?

Is there any basic home insurance I should have?

I will need 2 aircon units fitted. Any suggestions on make and who to use?

Is broadband or equilavent available in calis?

And I think thats about it.. Don't want a lot do I:P

Ohh cheers for the furniture advice looks like that Erin Spot is the place.  Ohh one other thing do Erin Spot deliver?

Hi Steve, in the nicest possible way have you used the "search" option, most of these have been answered and give you many options. Try searching under following:-

Gas bills, transfer money, house insurance, airconditioners, ADSL/Broadband.

PS ERUN deliver very very very quickly if they have in stock.

Just a thought Steve............but your agent sorts out your electric, water and council tax for you. (No gas in this area). Other wise what did you pay your deeds money for? It is all included and makes up the amount you pay for deeds.I would hot foot it back to them and get them to sort it quickly.

I think it is EREN Spot Dave.

Apparently there is another place called Erogenous Spot, Mrs Scunner told me all about but I can't find it.

Anyway, to get back on topic - we have broadband here, it's more like slightly bigger than narrowband compared with the UK, but it is ok.
