Title: pavements
Post by: anna g on November 28, 2011, 18:49:41 PM
I have spent the last year trudging along the top road and side streets of Ovacik with my baby and pram and I am basically tired of lugging a pram along pavements with ditches/uneven surfaces where I sometimes end up with a stuck pram or having to resort to walking in the road until I find a flat surface. I mainly now walk down the best of a bad bunch of side streets to get to the main road. I wish the council would sort out their pavements. I am surprised my pram has lasted this long. Does anyone know who I could write to? Worth a try. Just had to have a little moan!

Zabita'll Fix It ? :D

There's no point in repairs being carried-out up there. As soon as there's a decent storm it all gets washed down the hill again.

...Oh , the dolphinarium quality ! ...maybe it 's a better choice then to pray that someone decent will be elected in 2014.

I take it I will be wasting my time then?

Still in search of the perfect, even route to Hisaronu. Lets hope my pram lasts the distance. Thank god my son won't remember all the bumpy rides he had.  :)

I would say , don't take it as wasting your time. If you do not complain , the officials will think ( and they always want to think ) , everything is OK. I will join by putting my signature under any written complaint that I will regard justified ; may it be about the bad pavements , bad roads or disturbing loud music in summer etc.

Most of the paths in Calis are a pain in the backside too when you have a pushchair, must be so difficult for wheelchair users, even when you do get a nice path there is usually a tree in the middle of it  :)

Calis has at least the advantage , that the area is flat. Here in Ovacik , every road goes uphill or downhill.
