As mentioned by lotty.
We saw Robert Cray in March this year at Nottingham, a superb blues technician who was excellent. Previously we saw Jools Holland and his orchestra at the same venue, he struck me as a really nice guy, bigging up all those around him.
However I must admit it is all a bit clinical these days, you know the score when the show starts at 7.30, you get a honest trier on first for half an hour then a break for drinks, the main act does an hour and a quarter then exits the stage 15 minutes before the end then an encore and we all stream out to the car park. In days of old I remember drinking at the bar with some of the acts after they finished.
Ho hum, must be getting old.

I agree about the Blockheads, we saw them in Nottingham a couple of years ago, excellent !!

ZZTop in Birmingham

Westlife during their Final Tour at MEN Arena last May. Although it's my daughter's birthday today, it was a belated birthday treat and we both cried because we wouldn't be seeing them again!

My last band seen was the Manfred Mann reunion tour around November I think

I'm slightly disturbed to realise that the last band I saw was also the first I saw.

Then you should get out more Scunner. :) :)

The Blockheads - superb 8)
I first saw Ian Dury with Kilburn and the High Roads in 1973 and about 25 times since, culminating with his 'final' performance at The Palladium in London - a diamond geezer and a terrific wordsmith. Still see The Blockheads as often as possible, fabulous musicians.
-
The Dubliners (what's left of them anyway), fabulous music, lovely guys :)
-
Great question, besides Paul Carrack on numerous occasions, it was probably Rush.
-
I hope I've not yet seen my last live band ! ;)
-
The last band I saw was Eric Clapton at the Albert Hall but it was about 15 years ago ! . . . No I don't get out a lot.

Racing Cars last year when they finally split, they were a bit of a regular fixture for us as they tended to gig regularly in our area, and I know the guitarist ! - Wanted to see Steve Hackett in Cardiff in May, but am not going to pay £80 for a ticket !!! >:(
