Morning, my friend had the same problem - her new iPad won't charge from her computer - we asked in the Apple shop and they told us you need to charge it from the power lead.  Hope this helps

I have had this with mine but although it says not charging it actually does if you leave it plugged in...it just appears that it isn't .....have you tried leaving it then checking later?

Also remember that iPads need a lot more voltage than iphones - many laptop USB ports can't supply it. My laptop charges my phone but not my iPad. I'd first try a different cable, but failing that get an iPad charger that plugs into a wall socket.

I have an IPad charger and just plug it into the wall. I have never tried any other way of charging it, because the Apple Store recommend charging it from a wall socket.

I echo what others say. From what are you trying to charge it? A computer or a wall charger? If a computer that will be the problem, you need to use a wall charger.

If you are trying a wall charger and it still is not working then it is likely to be either the cable (have you recently changed the cable) or the charger is at fault

I tend to find that happens with our devices (kindles / android) if we use s wall plug with the USB connection to the plug.

However it always works fine if we use same USB cable from the laptop to charge or full wired plugs as opposed to two piece options.

Often thought it might be the voltage in Turkey?
