The Outnet, which belongs to Net-a-Porter, have a sale today of Michael Kors handbags, they are mostly 40% off. There is one design which I saw in a couple of shops in Calis and Hisaronu last year and it was priced at £200.00 in Hisaronu and £170.00 in Calis, both of course, where fakes. The real thing is on the Outnet today for £171.00.
There are quite a few to choose from, so why bother with a fake?

Why bother with an expensive handbag in the first place?

I like these manbags. They're cheap and come in a variety of colours.
I like to use this colour in the morning. It matches my eyes.

That's the work of a pretend designer - not real at all ! ;)
-
Keep digging boys...you are amazingly predictable....and can fall for the bait anytime. ;) ;D  :-*

I really don't understand "designer" goods. Surely everything that's maufactured has been designed ?
(BTW. I'm typing this on my designer laptop whilst drinking tea from my designer cup. ;) )

These bags are very popular in Milton Keynes I'm told. Not sure who is the more predictable - I know where the smart money would go ! ;D

How many guesses can we have ?

Just as well you are in the minority KKOB not understanding designer goods or all the fake shops and markets in Turkey would be out of business selling their watches, belts, sunglasses, handbags (including man bags), wallets, iPhone covers clothing etc.,
I think the smart money should all go to Highlander for his Grand National Drawer. ;)

My better half said no point in a designer handbag as she has a designer husband to carry everything for her.
-
Yes, but that means going everywhere with your husband. I prefer just the two of us on a shopping trip, that is me and my designer handbag. ;) ;D

171£ for a bag, You can get a lot of EFEs, for that money, >:( ;D ;D >:( >:( :'(

£171 for a bag and they won't pay 5p for one in Tesco!!!

I have seen woman in Calis, Fethiye, Oludeniz, Kalkan and HIsaronu forking out a lot more that £171.00 for a fake. I always want to tell them there are websites in the U.K. and also shops like T.K.Maxx where you can get the real thing much cheaper. I have seen fakes being sold for £400.00. in Fethiye.
Incidentally, £171.00 is cheap for a designer bag. I noted tonight a Prada Sale on an internet site with bags at £1,500 and more each, when I clicked in to look, most where already sold. A lot of people invest in these bags, as in perfect condition they will make more in the next year or two. Some are better than money in the Bank as an investment.
As for Efes, yes you can get it cheap, but in the end the bag is the best bargain.
I have bought bags and sold them after I have used them for a few years and got more for them than the price I bought them at. ;D

Well I must say I never had you down for a bag lady! :o

Bag, Shoes and Clothes. I like designer and why not ?
-
And quite right too Jacqui. :) I "bagged" myself an M.K bag last week in Dallas at one of his Outlet stores and I am chuffed with my purchase. I also bought a fake M.K bag in Calis last year and I have to say it looks great too. Sadly Britain is flooded with fake Michael Kors just now and someone I know on Facebook, is selling loads of them. I have warned her that the internet police will do her big time if they stumble on her page. :o

There are plenty of fake goods of all sorts electrical ,clothes etc perporting to be the real thing on ebay etc. be careful!!!!
-
Toky, I happen to know that if someone selling fakes on Ebay is reported to the Trading Standards, The Trading Standards will investigate and then they will apply for a warrant to search the home of the person (usually carried out very early in the morning) and will take away fakes. The person will then be prosecuted for selling fakes.
Even the Charity Shops will not take the chance to sell fakes now. I value for one and if they ask me to look at a bag and I confirm it is a fake, they destroy it.
