Title: medical for SGK cover

I have been told that you now need to make an appointment at the state hospital for a medical for SGK cover. I know its Tuesdays and Thursdays, or can you just turn up on the day without an appointment, and do you need a translator to go with you, or does the tourist dept supply one.
 When you go to the SGK, do you need a translator to go there with you. Thanks in advance.

You don't need an appointment, but you will certainly need a translator. There is a lot of paperwork and lots of toing and froing so having someone who knows the ropes is essential.
Expect to be there all day............
