Post by: Steve A on September 30, 2015, 18:45:53 PM
We have suffered more this year than in the past 7 years.
Our friends are busy closing our villa for us and we have what looks like serious infestation in the kitchen
Anyone had this, anyone know most effective way to get rid ?

Only one thing worked for us and it worked magnificently - Nippon drops. Not sure about now, but back then we had to get it from UK.

Assuming you are talking about ants  ;)

I bought a couple of ant nest killer thingies (like a small round container) from B&Q. Worked a treat. Nippon is good also - as is napalm  ;)

The don't seem to sell Ant Killer in the local shops in Calis and Fethiye..  We tried to get some in the D.I.Y. in Calis and the guy sold us some powder, but said it would not kill them, just send them away.
We now bring the ant killer plastic pots from the U.K.  A lot of the Supmarkets like Morrisons and Azda have them reduced at the end of the Summer.

Migros and other supermarkets sell the plastic ant traps. Not sure if they kill the ants or just make them go away, but they work! In a box near to the fly spray etc, ants are called karinca here so this is written on the box. Another box has hamam bocegi written on, which is for cockroaches.
