Last thing I know is that he and his family are in Bologna Italy where Bilal is "getting his Phd".

    The Italian Prosecutors started legal proceedings against him for suspected money laundering and problems

     with his armed protection entourage so he left Italy rather hastily. Hence sandgrounder's query.

I knew about the legal proceedings but had somehow missed that he had left Italy. A quick google gave me no answers either.

He was smuggled out of Italy by none other than the House of Saud, complete with fancy dress and one of their diplomatic passports.
