A Good Baklava Shop
« on: January 07, 2007, 10:29:23 AM »
There are very few things that I miss and can not find in Fethiye , one of them is a good baklava . I tried many shops , cake shops , but all of them are not good as a proper baklava . I tried a shop last night and really liked it . It is on the way from Calis to Fethiye ,150 mt. before tax office round and on the right hand side . They are selling only baklava and similar traditional Turkish sweets.
As far as I remember the name is "Ulaslioglu"

Couldn't agree more with you, their baklava's are wonderful but I must admit I would rather have had their vintage metalware that they in the shop, especially the large pitcher as that's one of my passions, I collect old Islamic metalware.

And I was just trying to be funny,I know what a "Baklava"is!! Some people are just totally devoid of a "Funny Bone". And, Mr.prison number, I believe you will find that the Balaclava was named after an article of headwear worn during the Battle of Balaclava.Long before people dreamed of skiing.  :o: :):D:DSki mask indeed, how very dare you!!!!
:D:DGordy.No offence intended.

I did find it kind of funny, but I did have a slight feeling that someone may have got the two mixed up.
