Air Conditioning

I know I've asked this question before but it was some time ago and my memory is a bit blurred[xx(][?]so here goes.

We are due to go out to furnish our villa in five weeks time.

Our agent as asked us if we want Air Conditioning fitted and he has quoted us £500 a unit through 'Dycon company'.

He says they are good quality energy saving units and four seasons ie hot air for cooler months.

We was going to wait until we went out next month and decide then, but he is saying it would be better to have them fitted now before the decorating etc is done and it will be one less thing to do when we go as we only have a week to do it in.

We are unsure what to do for the best, we didn't think they would be so expensive as anyone got any advice please?.

Hi,

Don't know what everybody else has paid but £500 a unit does seem expensive. I think it really should be nearer £250-£300 a unit (these are also hot for winter, cold for summer).

500 for a unit or for couple of units ?And what is the power of the units.
Small units for bedrooms (900 BTU) are around 250.
If you want I can give you the contact numbers of Electra so you can buy directly from the distributor.

Hi Cenk,  being a bit cheeky...can I have that number as well please....we will need 3 units, 1 in lounge/kitchen combined and 2 in 2 small bedrooms. We are staying with you in April by the way as we are still awaiting completion on our little house. Cheers. Carol.

I have been saving all the tips on places to buy goods and you did mention earlier that there can be delays in repairs when buying from a main distributor. Are this company OK if the unit goes wrong? As you say I wouldn't want to wait for a week in the heat (or cold) - I might only be there for a week.
