I think I've missed something. There are loads of recommendations of different restaurants and bars on here. In fact, isn't that the point of this section? Recently, however, someone said that the new Shine, in Calis, was a decent place to eat (and it certainly is, good food, good prices, good staff), and the thread was locked, with a comment about "free advertising". I really don't get it, especially when we see owners and their family members forever going on about their businesses time and time again (I can name one that regularly is dragged to the top of the bar topics thread)

I locked the topic because from the information to hand it didn't seem to be a genuine appraisal, there were other posts in that thread that the authors deleted and all in all it didn't stack up.

I am pleased people enjoyed the restaurant, it was paid for with money stolen from me.
